Reviewer Helen Connell from Meerkatreviews.com writes:
"Daisy's life was flawed before Jeff came into her life, this made her vulnerable for the life that lay before her. It took courage in the end for her to stand up, something you don't think she would achieve. Throughout the book you want to yell - DON'T DO IT! Stick up for yourself. For me it gave me an understanding of why women cannot walk away from men like Jeff. Especially women in the same situation as Daisy who have nowhere else to go. The impact of domestic abuse is not just on the victim but also how the children deal with it. In Daisy's case, Jeff was able to influence his two daughters, so they too were part of his abuse towards his wife. I recommend this book to be read by all ages, especially have it placed in the school curriculum."

I would like to thank you for writing this (The Skinny Girl) and getting it published.... as a woman in today's society, it truly is criminal that this story can still resonate, yet the voices sometimes return.
